1986 Torpado Super Strada Italian 12 Speed 61 cm / 24" Racing Bicycle 700C Tires

Up for auction is a
1986 Torpado Super Strada Italian racing bike
. This is a 35 year old one owner bike that was raced and ridden on century's and half century bike rides. It's been hanging on the ceiling for the past 15 to 20 years. Time to let it go. Upgrades that were done while I was racing the bike; Tange-TFR front forks, Mavic MA40 700 C rims, Stainless tapered spokes, Varese drop handlebar, includes two Shimano 600 EX cog sets one for a flat course and one for a hilly course; (13,14,15,16,17,18) and (13,15,17,19,21,24) plus the special tool used to swap them out.
The frame is Columbus Aelle R double butted tubing, Campagnolo Nuovo record derailleurs, Tipo hubs, and Shifters. Ofmega Competition Crankset, Selle Italia saddle.
Universal 77 brakes, Brake levers are Universal, but the hood covers are dry rotted new ones are needed but I could not locate any. The rear tire is not in very good shape. For a bike this old and that has seen this much action the

Includes Italian Duegi size 10 shoes and Look toe clips.
Also included is a rear view mirror, frame mount tire pump, 2 presto inner tubes, front and rear lights and a front mount bag.
Included is the original Torpado owners manual, Sales brochure, Look peddle toe clips and instruction sheet.
The drop handlebar and padded tape were removed for shipping. You will need new handlebar wrapping tape after mounting bar.
A bicycle box was picked up from a local bike shop to package the bike. I will try and make an effort to find the lowest priced shipping such as Bikeflights etc.
