Vintage 1960s 20.5” x 35” (not including fringe) Disneyland 101 Dalmatians Rug W/ Sgt. Tibbs Made In Belgium
The original owner said she bought this at the Disneyland park and contain a made in Belgium tag. It is high pile rug of good quality but has been used as rug for many years. It has all its fringe on both sides. Has a few flaws but overall is in amazing condition even with its age . It has many Disney characters and a super rare one such as Sergeant Tibbs. It was washed at some point so that made it a bit flat but nothing a good rug cleaning wouldn’t fix. I have seen many others on eBay but never this one.
Condition,
*All the fringe is intact
*Colors are bright and good
*in great vintage condition
*None of the loop that hold the rug together has come
undone.
Flaws (see last pic)
1) when it was made it had a loop pulled through but
never caught the wool.
2) someone had gum on their shoes and it’s caught in
the rug it’s very very small
3) someone got two tiny drops of paint on it,
4) some had gum on their shoes and left a half an inch
mark on Pongo hind leg.
None of the above flaws are noticeable to the naked eye.
PLEASE zoom in and check condition.
It has wear like all antique things, the rug was used so it has lots of small flaws. I think a good rug cleaning would removed bright up all the white in the dogs and remove most of the flaws.
It’s a beautiful piece and would be a good addition to any Disney collector.
