Vintage Hand Painted Quail Birds Ceramic Colorful Figurine Pair Toyo Japan
In excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or mars and colors are still very vibrant
Both are painted with a pink, blue, mauve, & golden on the feathers and highly detailed on feathers and faces which many of these do not have
Stamped on the bottom of both birds in red are original Japanese marks which I can not translate
The large bird is 6" X 6" & the smaller quail is 5" X 4"
These two lovely quail partridge style birds were owned by one woman who received them as a gift in the 1950's and she treasured them with tender care.
They would really look lovely on display in a country farmhouse setting.
